BIO
Ramiro Boero is an Argentine bandoneon player, arranger and composer born in Buenos Aires.
He has been a soloist in the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Argentine National Symphony Orchestra, the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sao Paulo Jazz Symphony Orchestra, the Medellin Symphony Orchestra, the Juan de Dios Filiberto Argentina Music Orchestra, the Stable Orchestra of the Province of Tucumán and the Córdoba Symphony Orchestra, among others.
He has participated in various concerts with the great tango luminaries Víctor Lavallén, Leopoldo Federico, Rubén Juárez, Emilio Balcarce, Daniel Binelli, Osvaldo Piro, Roberto Alvarez and played in the great tango ensembles Sexteto Mayor, the Color Tango Orchestra and the Orquesta El Arranque, with which he has received two Carlos Gardel Awards and a Latin Grammy nomination.
Ramiro is a soloist and teacher in the Orquesta Escuela de Tango Emilio Balcarce conducted by Víctor Lavallén, and received the Carlos Gardel Award in the 'Best Tango Album' category in 2014.
He currently teaches Bandoneon Tango at the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda.
In 2012 he was awarded First Prize by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes for his album “Tres Expresiones Porteñas”.
In 2018 he released a solo bandoneon album entitled “Acontece”, published in El Arte del Bandoneón collection.
Ramiro is currently working on his next album with his own orchestra.
